Rhea conducted a geotechnical evaluation of soft soils and bedrock in support of the construction of a new multimodal parking facility at a PA State Park.
Geotechnical Investigation for Multimodal Parking and Transportation Facility
A Pennsylvania State Park required a new multimodal parking facility as a part of its ongoing transportation improvements. Rhea was tasked with determining the geotechnical feasibility of constructing such a large building on the soft local soils. Rhea’s PennDOT-certified drilling inspector oversaw the collection of soil samples and rock cores for analysis. These analyses produced high quality geotechnical data and a detailed record of the soil, sediment, and rock layers underlying the site. Our clients can use these results to choose a site location and proceed safely with their construction.
